Welcome to the latest instalment of our updates! Here is what we built for you in the last few months:
1. TikTok direct uploads
You can now upload your TikTok designs directly into TikTok without installing TikTok Effect House or bothering with downloads. For now this works with a limited set of designs but it is expanding. See the full list of templates that support direct uploads in this design collection.
We also reworked our TikTok design editor. We enabled animation support for templates that have animation. Added a dozen or so new templates for Augmented Reality effects. Updated previews for TikTok (and Roblox 3D, too, by the way!). Enabled AR previews for TikTok designs so you can preview them as you edit them by switching to the AR tab in the Editor. We also significantly optimised textures on TikTok designs and accelerated downloading so that the direct upload to TikTok also works blazing fast. Try this feature out!
2. Create your own designs from scratch
We had lots of feedback about this and now we have finally rolled out the ability to create designs from blank templates. This is already available on Roblox Classics, TikTok and Snapchat with other platforms coming soon.
On Roblox Classics we now have a blank Shirt template, a blank Pants template and a blank Suit template.
On TikTok we have a blank Face mask and Snapchat also has a blank Face mask.
Moreover, on the web app we have redesigned the app completely and it now has a default Home page. This page was designed to bring all your favorite tools in one place: from creating designs from scratch to listing all AI tools to searching for the best Snapchat templates to uploading your own. We will continue adding more in the coming months. Stay tuned!
3. Earn free downloads by completing quests
We have finally introduced a way to earn downloads for free users. Meet Quests! Quests work like Achievements – when you complete an objective, we grant you a reward. So far we rolled out our first quest: upload a TikTok Effect directly to TikTok to earn 3 free downloads (Free users) or 50 AI credits (Pro users). We will be adding more quests soon and please watch this space – some of the quests will be limited in time, so be sure you know what achievements to look out for!

Here are all the things we released in the past few weeks:
Added a new Home page on the web
Enabled Create from scratch flow on web
Made our mobile Discover page more agile. It will update much more often now!
Brought back trials on the web app and added trials to the monthly subscription. For just $0.99 you can now have a taster of what Pro subscription gives you!
Reworked mobile and web Upload to Roblox flow to make it more obvious that Roblox charges you Robux for the upload and make the upload itself more reliable. Also made it work even if linking the Roblox account fails the first time.
Resolved an issue where you would hit an error when going back to collection using your browser button
Updated our web onboarding to work much quicker
Added the ability for web users to verify emails
Added the ability for web users to delete themselves
Added blog post support to our iOS app so you can read our blog without being redirected to the website
Added loading states for all button on web and mobile and made this work very smoothly
Reworked our sign up flow to make it easier and more reliable on mobile and web
We also fixed some important issues with our AI:
Accelerated our AI by a lot. Like – A LOT
Made our Discord AI produce .png images rather than .webp. Roblox-ready now!
Update suggested prompts for Roblox AI on both web and mobile
Reworked the AI interfaces on web completely to make it much nicer and easier to navigate
Additionally, we fixed a few bugs in the Web Editor. In particular:
Reworked the zoom on the 2D canvas of the web app
Improved layer settings UI so that everything fits (we had to collapse the color palette)
Removed watermarks from Pro elements in the Web Editor (sometimes they would appear when a Pro user edited their private design)
Added lots more brush presets on the web app
Fixed bug on the web app where deleting a media from uploads would delete it from the design
Fixed odd behavior of the remove background button
Last but not least we improved our mobile app by a lot. Namely:
Reworked how loading of the Editor works (so it’s much faster now)
Fixed issue where very rarely the mobile paywall would not load and would not grant Pro status to users who paid. It was an unpleasant bug
Fixed issue where sometimes a user would not be able to repeat download their design on mobile
Made mobile editor work much faster when you press Home to navigate back to the home page
